What classes does badger run?
Other than special"vintage"events;Badger Usually races one class: there are no individual clases for novice/expert etc; Experienced riders don't have to wait through dozens of classes to finish before running your event. The Single class in badger is the Badger "Thunderbike "class. This a paying class and comprises the main show.
What kind of motorcycle can I ride?
"Thunderbikes" is an open class. Ride whatever you want, dirt track type tires only,( no knobbies or trials type). Commonly You will see modern 4stroke single cylinder450cc or bigger mx type competition bikes modified for flattrack racing. However one rider does ride a 250c twostroke. He competes in the thunderbike class.
What rider equipment is required?
Required is an approved full-face helmet, boots ,gloves,and steel left shoe
,Mx protective gear is acceptable;but badger recommends a full race leather suit.
How can I compete in a Badger race?
Showup at the track, check in at the badger truck in the pits. There is a $5.00 "fee" to be included in the badger points series.The money goes towards trophies and end of season payouts for the top 14 riders.
What can I expect at the track?
Badger holds races inconjunction with local stockcar programs. Badger riders are a friendly, knowlegable, bunch of experienced riders competeing for the fun of it; though competition is still important. The priority of a Badger event is to put on a smooth, SAFE, fun race for the riders; secondly a good show for the grandstands. like most race programs Riders pit together,and generally will "go out of their way" to help each other out. Prospective riders are encouraged to come out to an event.
